Exploring the Arches
Walking among the arches feels like being on another planet. The shapes of the rocks are so unusual that every short hike leads to something that looks completely different from the last.
Delicate Arch Hike
The hike to Delicate Arch is a bit of a climb, but the payoff is huge. Seeing the arch standing alone against the distant La Sal Mountains, especially near sunset, is one of those views that stays with you.
Heat and Timing
Midday heat can be intense, so early morning or late afternoon is much more comfortable—and the light is better for photos. Bring plenty of water and expect exposed trails with little shade.
